Assessment of the semen of common carp males (Cyprinus carpio) induced with Ovaprim and (CPG) during propagation processes

The biological aspects for the semen of males (Cyprinus carpio) were assessed during spawning season, after they artificially induced spawning. insemination by injecting with Ovaprim and pituitary gland extract. Two dosages had been used 0.5, 0.3 ml 2,4 mg per Kg body weight respectively. After that volume semen, pH, number sperms in one motility estimated. total obtained from ranged between (72 – 117) using while average concentration changed (35.3 ± 9.1)×109 sperm /ml to (28.2 5.2)×109 PG mean Spermatocrite value was (65.3 ±15.8) % (52.33 ±10.4) PG. fluctuated (90 ±10) (95.4 ±5.6) injected effectiveness period (101± 30.9) sec (113±34.2) two hormones This study indicated this range length suitable hatchery requirements.
